ABOUT
I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work at Simmons School for Social Work in 1988. Initially licensed in Michigan, I've been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina since 1992. I have received specialized training in clinical hypnosis, sand tray therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as many other therapies.

For 35 years I have been providing evaluation and psychotherapeutic treatment to a wide range of clientele. My clinical experiences include work with children and families, couples, people struggling with substance use and more acute mental illness.
While using other forms of treatment, my practice now primarily focuses on the use of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Research, as well as practical experience, has proved it to be effective and efficient when compared with other treatment approaches. However, I believe this to be most true within the context of a trusting, safe and well developed therapeutic relationship.
